29.2.12 Double PB - in 2 very different exercises

WOD 1

1 Mile Run for time

Time - 5.46


WOD 2

1 Rep Max Squat clean

90kgs

I am well chuffed with both of these.  For the run I was aiming for sub 6 and to get 5.46 it was awesome.  I set off fast as I knew that I had to get in front of Scott so that I would have to fight to stay there.  He overtook me on the turn on the second leg.  And that just fired me up.

After 10 mins to calm down we started on the squat cleans, I know that if I can nail the tekkers I have 100kgs in me.  IT was good there were 5 of us all working on one bar so it gave plenty of time for rest and banter.  I felt great  and we spent plenty of time at 60 kgs before moving up slowly.  I got the tekkers dialled in and managed 85 comfortably, but 90 I got all nervous and screwed the tekkers up.  still I got it up so I will take it.

Great night in the Box, and very pleased with my performance.  I have 100 kgs in me I just need to focus on tekkers.
