25.2.12 - Teem Boom day 2

Great day, 5 of us from the box headed down to Crossfit Leeds, we hit up a couple of WODs and then headed to the pub to watch the rugby.

WOD 1

In Pairs vs Pair from a different box

5 Rounds 

Pair 1 - run 400m with a 15kg plate

Pair 2 - AMRAP of:

  • 10 KB Swings 24kg
  • 10 Press Ups
  • 10 Air Squats

The score is the total number of rounds completed.  For us 19 Rounds

I was working with Big Scott again, I love to hit a WOD with him as we are both at the same level and we both love to hit it hard.  This was a real good WOD, the running was a lot harder than I was expecting, that 15kg plate got heavy really quickly, but I didn’t stop running but it took longer than expected - around 3 mins a round.

The AMRAP was good and we split it into exercises, the KB swings came round quickly, and I had to go to HR press ups after about 10 rounds.  Overall I felt good and it was nice to do a longer (nearly 30mins) constantly working WOD.

WOD 2

2 Rounds

  • 10 BW Deadlifts
  • 200m Run

1min 46 secs

Great WOD. I don’t normally struggle with deadlifts but the second round kicked my arse, I really had to focus on tekkers to make them count.

WOD 3

Tug O War - Leeds Vs The Rest

The rest won.

Awesome day, great to see some familiar faces and makes some new friends.  I fucking Love Crossfit.
